Riot Games also announced this week that its take on Auto Chess, Teamfight Tactics, would release later this month. Drodo released a mobile version of Auto Chess in May. It offers a dizzying amount of tactics and strategy, and it’s much slower than Dota 2. It takes the units from Dota 2 and turns them into pieces that fight on a chessboard-like field, and up to eight people can play. After releasing to record numbers (for a Valve game) last Thursday, it’s already surpassed gaming giants in terms of popularity. The game is based on a popular Dota 2 community-created game mode called Dota. It’s also now available in early access completely free as an open beta. Just a week after a full unveil, Dota Underlords is now available on Android, iOS, and PC. In this case we've also got the twist of 'Auto Chess', which is being made by the developers of the Dota 2 Auto Chess mod. This doesn’t count installs from third-party Android stores in China. According to mobile market research firm Sensor Tower, Auto Chess on mobile has received more than 1.5 million installs since it came out at the end of May.
